Here are the competition results of the competition held in Boise, Idaho: August 8 & 9

Fantasy Competition:
Small Band: El Katif (Spokane, WA) 1st
Medium Band: Al Azhar: (Calgary, Alberta) 1st
Large Band: Nile, (Seattle, WA)
Best Director: Jim Hart, Nile, Seattle, WA

Parade Competition:
Marching Bands: Al Azhar, Calgary, AB
Float Band: Nile, Seattle, WA
Overall Best Band: Nile, Seattle, WA
Solo Musette: Ray Colby, Nile
Solo Percussion: Jack Salsbury, Al Bedoo, Billings, MT
Duet: Greg Luck (Musette,) & Fred Pilakowsi (Musette), Al Bedoo
Trio: Brice Ligget, Darren DeHass, and Bill Murphy, Al Bedoo

We also had an impromptu trio consisting of Norm Wold (Nile) ((Finest Cymbal Player in North America)), Mike Hartup, (Past President ASOB & Chairman of the Ladder of Smiles,) Musette, (Midian), and Ralph Jubb, (Al Kader, 3rd V.P., ASOB) Drums. Unfortunately, they were unable to compete for the trophies as Mike is not a member of PNSOBA.

The results of the Election of Officers for the year 2008-2009 are,
